Artist Resources
Welcome to the Artist Resources hub, a space created to help our participating artists grow their visibility, confidence, and creative business skills.
Whether you’re preparing your studio for the weekend, promoting your work online, or thinking about your next step as an artist, you’ll find practical tools and insights here to support your journey.
Event Info Sheet
Your essential checklist for making Open Studios Kaipātiki a success, from getting your studio ready and welcoming visitors, to wrapping up and reflecting afterwards.
This guide covers what to prepare, how to host, and what to do once the weekend ends. It includes practical tips on presentation, safety, signage, and visitor engagement, plus reminders for collecting visitor info and feedback.
Use it alongside the Marketing Checklist and Event Kit to feel confident and organised throughout the event.
Marketing Workshop
You can now watch the Marketing for Artists Workshop led by Charlotte Church, covering everything from social media strategy and content planning to building long-term visibility.
Marketing Checklist
Keep your promotion simple and effective with our downloadable Artist Marketing Checklist, a one-page guide full of easy actions to help you prepare and promote your studio before, during, and after the event.
Event Kit
Your one-stop resource for everything you need to promote and prepare for Open Studios Kaipātiki.
Inside the Event Kit, you’ll find ready-to-use tools and templates to help make marketing your studio simple and consistent, from social media graphics and posters to event logos, hashtags, and caption examples. You’ll also find guidelines for tagging, photography, and storytelling so your posts stand out and align with the wider event.
This kit is designed to make your life easier, give your work visibility, and help create a cohesive look and feel across the entire Open Studios Kaipātiki weekend.
Visitor Sheets
Each artist will receive a Visitor Sheet to capture the names and emails of people who visit your studio over the Open Studios weekend.
These sheets are an important way to:
Stay in touch with visitors who loved your work
Build your own mailing list for future updates, exhibitions, or sales
Help us understand the reach and impact of Open Studios Kaipātiki
After the event, we’ll collect these sheets (or digital copies) so both you and the organisers can stay connected with your growing audience.
Visitor Stat Sheets
There’s also a Visitor Stat Sheet to help us track how the event went overall for you, things like the number of visitors, sales, and general feedback.
This information helps us:
Report back to the Kaipātiki Local Board on community impact
Improve event logistics and marketing for next year
Demonstrate the value of supporting local artists and creative events
By taking a few minutes to complete it after the weekend, you’re helping ensure Open Studios Kaipātiki continues to grow and thrive for years to come.
Resource Hub
This resource hub is part of our ongoing commitment to support artists beyond the event weekend, helping them build sustainable creative practices and strengthening Kaipātiki’s reputation as a vibrant hub for the arts.
We’re proud to provide these tools with the support of the Kaipātiki Local Board, who share our goal of making creative careers more visible, connected, and sustainable.
