11. Quilted by Rebecca Owen

Rebecca Owen is a passionate textile artist whose lifelong dedication to fabric and thread began in childhood, sitting beside her mother at the sewing machine. Taught to sew at a young age, Rebecca quickly fell in love with the rhythm of stitching and the endless possibilities of creating with fabric and thread. This start laid foundation for a creative journey that has grown into a rich and diverse practice and career.

Today, Rebecca is an award-winning longarm quilter known for her intricate designs and expressive use of colour and texture. Her work spans detailed quilts, thread sketching, and garments, each reflecting her deep appreciation for craftsmanship and innovation. As a versatile maker, she continually explores new techniques and artistic approaches, blending traditional skills with contemporary design. Every piece she creates is a reflection of life around us and a celebration of the textile arts and the endless possibilities of creating with cloth.

Visitors can expect to see demonstration of practice, work for sale, a selection of quilts on display and I will be quilting over the weekend so visitors can see what I do.
