Kaipātiki Local Board area | North Shore | Tamāki Makaurau
15 & 16 November 2025
Open Studios Kaipātiki is a new community arts event celebrating the many artists and makers who live and work across the Kaipātiki Local Board area on Auckland’s North Shore.
For one weekend, artists will open their studio doors to the public – offering a rare glimpse into their creative spaces, their process, and the work they’ve been making. You’ll be able to plan your own self-guided trail, meet artists, ask questions, and maybe even take home a new piece of art.
Whether you're an art lover, a curious local, or just keen to explore something new – Open Studios Kaipātiki is for you.
This new event builds on the success of Open Studios Waitākere and Open Art Studios Upper Harbour and is produced by Lightbox Projects.
A weekend of creativity in Kaipātiki
Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 November 2025
Open Studios Kaipātiki is a self-guided studio trail taking place over one weekend.
Once the full list of participating artists is confirmed, we’ll share an interactive map so you can plan your own route. Visit as many studios as you like, meet the artists, see where the work is made, and get inspired.
Studios will be open to the public throughout the weekend, and entry is free. Some artists may have work for sale, others may be running demonstrations or collaborative activities – no two studios are the same.
Stay tuned for more details and make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter or following us on social for updates.
Begin your Open Studios Kaipātiki weekend by visiting this special exhibition featuring artwork from participating artists. The opening night is a family-friendly event, and all are welcome. Come along to meet the artists, event organizers, and local board members, purchase artworks, and get ready for the event weekend.
